If you have lived in Slave Lake for any length of time you know we can really host a party! While Family Day officially falls on Monday, February 16, we’ve been celebrating since last weekend, February 7, 8, as part of the 22nd annual Frost Fest.
Throughout the winter, there’s no shortage of outdoor fun in the Slave Lake area: snowshoeing, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, hiking, skating, and snowmobiling on the trails. There are also plenty of indoor options, including swimming at the Northern Lights Aquatic Centre or skating and fitness activities at the Multi Recreation Centre.
