In Alberta we have lots to be thankful for and the recent trade wars between the U.S. and Canada only drive home that point more.
Who could have imagined six years ago when the Alberta Forest Products Association (AFPA) first rolled out its public campaign, Love.Alberta.Forests (loveabforests.com), that such a simple message would, today, take on even more meaning? Those of us who live in the Slave Lake area, Alberta, or anywhere in Canada, take pride in the rich resources we have available.
Yes, tariffs and other potential threats to our businesses and economy will impact us, but the big question is to what degree. Regardless of the outcome, we must maintain perspective and recognize that many countries want our resources.
The AFPA “Love.Alberta.Forests” campaign has a website full of information on how our forest industry contributes to our province and country’s growth and development. (Click on any of the pictures below to see details.)
