The Christmas holidays are here, and in just over a week, we’ll be welcoming in the 2022 New Year. Looking back over 2021, there were a number of events that had a big impact on Vanderwell. Some of those events positively affected our company, and other circumstances were heartbreaking and a reminder that our family and friends — that vital human connection — is what counts most.
As I look back over the past year, I am proud of what we all achieved at Vanderwell. Despite the pandemic continuing to affect how we do our work and interact with each other, everyone stepped up, observed the Covid guidelines in place, and we continued to produce quality products.
While I don’t think any of us believed a year ago that we would still be dealing with Covid and its variants, there is good reason for us to be hopeful. There are vaccines, boosters and various therapeutics being used and developed. While Christmas and New Year celebrations are traditionally when we get together with family and friends, please keep in mind that Alberta Public Health restrictions are still in place for indoor and outdoor social gatherings over the holidays.
Safety also applies to the various activities we may enjoy during the holidays. Remember to consider the current weather conditions when travelling, have an emergency kit in your vehicle in case you get stranded, have a fully charged phone, and let people know where you’re going.
On behalf of the entire Vanderwell family, I want to thank everyone who contributed to the success of our company this year.
May your Christmas be blessed, rich and meaningful, and I wish you and your loved ones all the best in the New Year.
Sincerely,
Ken Vanderwell, CEO
